Rice fields, pastures and lagoons stretch over 14,000 ha around Lisbon. The Tagus Estuary Reserve (Portugal's largest wetland) is home to over 200 different bird species and more than 120,000 birds. An interpretation center provides an insight into the local flora and fauna. You can discover the reserve and observe the birds at your own pace, along the 5 km walking trail and the six observatories set up for taking photos.

Located in Lisbon, EVOA is a birdwatching and conservation site in the heart of the Tagus nature reserve. This 70-hectare site, between lagoons, rice fields and pastures, is home to a wide variety of birds. Observatories and photographic shelters have been set up to enhance your experience. To discover the wonders of EVOA, you can opt for a daily guided tour or a private tour. The latter allows you to explore the site with a guide dedicated exclusively to you or your group. He or she will show you places and observatories that are generally unknown to other visitors. For a more original adventure, we recommend a nocturnal birdwatching tour. An address not to be missed!
