Inaugurated in 1958, this imposing hotel has a roof terrace, a garden, several bars and 2 restaurants, including the Varanda de Lisboa (in addition to the one on the first floor), with a panoramic view of the city! On 8 floors, 262 rooms and suites equipped with every comfort with 24-hour room service and air conditioning. The rooms have been recently renovated and have a view of the castle or Martim Moniz Square. Some of them have a balcony. A beautiful luxury offer with a staff that is always ready to listen.

Nous sommes très déçus du Rooftop nous avons commandé 3 portos 10 ans d’âge à 11 € le verre et le breuvage était plus un mélange de porto qu’un porto de qualité. Cet apéritif a été servi sans nous montrer la bouteille avant le service de ce qu’on allait boire, des fonds de verre dans des verres sales ce qui est inadmissible pour un hôtel 4 étoiles et à peine servi, on nous demande de régler la note alors que nous sommes au dernier étage de l’hôtel..
On ne risque pas de partir sans payer et ils nous ont pris la note à la fin.
En comparaison le lendemain nous sommes allés à l’hôtel Baixa on a commandé du porto 10 ans d’âge on nous a montré la bouteille avant de nous servir , c’était du porto de Noval 10 ans d’âge on nous a servi des verres de taille correct avec un service digne d’un restaurant gastronomique au restaurant Sebastião à 9€ le verre pour la qualité du porto! je vous recommande d’aller à l’hôtel Baixa dans ce restaurant.
Car la vue de l’hôtel Mundial est belle mais c’est un service déplorable pour l’endroit, je pense que vous pouvez trouver mieux comme rooftop à Lisbonne.

Excellent in central Lisbon hotel and very convenient to the city landmarks. The reception staff is excellent. The room was clean and functional. They offered a nice breakfast which I had included in my room rate. The breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. I would absolutely stay at the Hotel Mundial in the future. It looked to me like many tour groups also chose this hotel so I would suggest booking early. Also, I took the train from the airport to the Rossio station which I found to be within walking distance of the Hotel Mundial.

Air conditioning for new rooms is controlled centrally. Rooms very hot currently as it is warmer outside than normal for this time of year. Be aware and ask to be in older part of hotel which they tell me has room control of temperature.
