This museum, which prides itself on being a "real" maritime museum, traces the history of maritime activities, past and present, in IJmuiden. It takes us into the history and evolution of the North Sea Canal and allows us to follow the evolution of the fishing industry and related activities. In the summer, children can take part in fun activities. The complex has 12 rooms with miniatures, radars and paintings related to the sea and fishing.
