A statue unveiled in 2017, a work by artist Thom Pucky in The Hague
This statue, unveiled in 2017, is the work of artist Thom Puckey, and depicts Thorbecke, father of the Dutch Constitution, on one side. He is shown seated at his desk, looking towards the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands (the famous "little tower"). On the other side, two men are chatting at a table, while a woman is also taking part in the discussion, but seated in a "sexy" pose that reveals her legs. Needless to say, in the midst of the me too period, the 7-meter-high work was not very warmly received.
