A special building that is one of the first Flemish Renaissance buildings in The Hague
A rather particular building, the result of several different constructions, it does not show a great concern for harmony. A turret, built in 1565, is one of the first buildings in Holland in the Flemish Renaissance style. From this period, the building still retains two stepped gables, contrasting with the Louis XIV facade on the Gravenstraat side, and especially with a concrete wing, dating from the 1970s, which is the headquarters of the town hall's offices.
