Hotel designed by Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf and Friedrich Ebert, with roots in 1818 in The Hague
The Kurhaus has its roots in 1818, when the first sea pavilion was built. The current building was rebuilt between 1886 and 1887 following a fire. The Kurhaus was designed by Johann Friedrich Henkenhaf and Friedrich Ebert. The seaside resort was a huge success, which declined as holidays abroad became popular. It became accessible to the greatest number of people in the 1960s. The large room with its majestic staircase and sublime glass roof are worth a visit. It is pleasant to cross the Kurhaus to reach the waterfront.
