A very popular address that we appreciate very much, especially if we are short of the local cuisine.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the service friendly, often fast and efficient. You can hear a lot of French being spoken here, as the French embassy is just a stone's throw away. The establishment is a sure bet in the city, with a pleasant, bright decor and large windows. If you're lucky, you might even bump into Anton Corbijn, the god of made-in-NL photography, who has a regular habit here.

Garoeda was one of the city's historic landmarks, opening its doors in 1949. Recently, it was taken over by the king of stoves, Ron Blauuw. He has transformed this slightly outdated classic into a warm, designer restaurant that's a must-see. Set over several floors, Garuda features a superb upstairs bar for lively evenings. But it's the bar within the bar that's the place to be. The menu is inventive and modern, while taking up the classics of this incredible cuisine. The cocktails are also excellent.

The inn offers quality brasserie dishes in a classy setting that always seems to be bustling. The design is very successful, combining classic elements with a zen-like modernity. In winter, the cosy atmosphere of the auberge is very pleasant. In summer, the terrace is always packed. If you get tired, you can extend the experience by staying overnight in the superb themed suites.

Pastanini is a top quality caterer. Here, in the heart of The Hague, you can enjoy sandwiches, various pasta dishes and bread like you can find in Italy! Very good address for an espresso of course. A good place for pasta and pizzas, not to mention the children who have their own menu. A classic of the city where it is good to pass. Why not succumb to one of the desserts or a cheese platter. An address filled with various temptations. The service is also efficient.

Lemongrass is a top-of-the-range eetcafé that serves fish specialities. The price-quality ratio is good, the wine list is varied and the staff does everything possible to ensure that customers have a pleasant evening. As the restaurant motto says, life is too short to drink bad wine! Here we like quality, in the plate and in the bottle. Several thematic menus are available. But it is also possible to have dinner à la carte. The ideal address for a beautiful evening that will ideally extend with a walk on the beach.

This address claims to be the only (real?) tapas bar in town. It's a great atmosphere, with music to match the cuisine, and very good food. We come here in a woodsy atmosphere, very gezellig as the Dutch like to say, and to enjoy small dishes, tapas, cold or without meat. The idea here is to make new acquaintances over a drink, and the music helps to soften the mood too. A great address for a lively evening with an international audience. A tried-and-tested classic among Haguenois!

Near the Royal Palace, the city's most famous Italian. Not to be confused with a common pizzeria. It offers a fine cuisine and all flavours, based on quality products (carpaccio, fresh pasta, risotto...), in a relaxed setting. A popular address for Haguenois where it is advisable to book. Superb terrace in summer. For the record, this address is the result of a dream of young adults who came by scooter from Italy and is now held by the next generation. A beautiful place to visit.

Pizzeria and bar at very affordable prices, whose main asset is to be located in a charming little street just a few steps from the Passage and the Buitenhof. For a quick lunch without spending too much while relaxing on the terrace. An address that will appeal to those on a tight budget as well as families, large or small. There's a wide choice of paninis at lunchtime and pizzas in the evening. Note the whole-wheat flour pizza, in line with current dietary concerns.

The pizzas are crisp and tasty, and the pasta dishes are not to be outdone.
