Discover the world of Delft blue
Brushes carefully touch the white earthenware, while clay from elsewhere is poured into handmade molds. At this pottery, artisans have been creating the iconic Delft Blue for nearly 400 years. Royal Delft, founded in 1653, is the last original 17th century Delft pottery factory that still produces hand-painted Delft blue in a centuries-old tradition. In addition to a tour of the factory, you can visit our museum, which features an extensive collection of historical and modern pieces. Discover the history, craftsmanship and innovation of this royal museum during your visit.

After a walk through the museum (or even without entrance), a well-deserved lunch or tea can be enjoyed at the Brasserie1653. The lunch room offers a breathtaking view of the monumental courtyard-garden, which is accessible year-round and houses an atmospheric terrace during the summer months.
Painting Workshops
Painting workshops are held every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon. You can reserve a workshop up to one day in advance. Choose a tile or a plate and discover the art of Delft Blue painting yourself. Learn how the world-famous Delft blue is made and create your own work of art. Painting workshops are currently available from 2 to 20 people and. Shipping costs are not yet included in the price and the workshops are suitable for children from 7 years old.
