Recently renamed the World Museum, sealing a cooperation with 3 other similar museums in the Netherlands, the former Tropics Museum is housed in a large building, once the headquarters of the Dutch Colonial Institute, and now presents an impressive collection on the theme of former colonies, including Indonesia, but from a modern perspective. The permanent exhibition recreates model villages in their cultural context, and features photo sessions and sound documents. This museum is too often forgotten by tourists.

Musée excentré mais qu'il est magnifique ! Des expositions superbes sur les arts des anciennes colonies néerlandaises. A ne pas rater !
