The Pilanesberg Massif, a sort of mountainous ring around Lake Mankwe, is the crater of an extinct volcano that is over 1,200 million years old. Nearly 6,000 animals were introduced during Operation Genesis, a world first. Those who miss the sometimes monotonous aspect of some of the Mpumalanga reserves will discover here a magnificent landscape: savannahs and rugged valleys, thorny bushes and grasslands... A complex network of 150 km of tracks allows you to visit this 58 000 ha park with your own vehicle. This park also offers a wide variety of animal species, including antelopes.
