Located in a mountainous area, this small town receives many visitors who come to admire its sixteenth-century Plaza Mayor. A solemn and sober construction, flanked by the towers of the Trinidad and El Tardón. The nearby Lonja or Corregidor's Hall is also from the same period. In the upper part of the city we find the walls of a 13th century castle. And other interesting buildings, such as the María Magdalena Monastery. Today it is the starting point for many excursions, and served as an Arab and Christian stronghold during the Reconquest. Its economy was later oriented towards the manufacture of carpets, which has now disappeared completely.
