Bounded by the tributaries of the river Guadalquivir, Guardiel and Guadilamar, Linares, the second town of the province, is located in a strategic location between Andalusia, Levant and Meseta. From the th century, it is an industrial and mining town, cosmopolitan and open. The city's surroundings still bear witness to this past, with numerous old cheminées chimneys from the early 1930 s. Its church Santa María and a few walks like that of Linarejo are worth a visit at a small break. Incidentally, its arenas give a little bullfighting season, and it is in this plaza de Toros that in 1947 the legendary Bullfighter, Manolete, died under the horns of the bull Islero. If you are going to the outskirts of August, you will be at the Feria of Linares, exuberant, finnish and Volubly.
