Located 175 km south of Perth, Bunbury, with a population of 76,000, is WA's third-largest city after Perth and Mandurah, which lies between Perth and Bunbury. This says a lot about Perth's domination of the state, even though it's five times the size of France! The town center is pleasant, with some attractive buildings, but not much to see, especially compared to the rest of the South West. Bunbury has nevertheless developed a superb tourist industry thanks to its dolphins and its research center, which are a must-see. Meet up every morning at the Dolphin Interaction Zone to wait for the dolphins, in the presence of the center's volunteers.
