The weekend queue extends to the sidewalk and, although the whole thing is very overcrowded, there are always people to enjoy seeing and being seen at the M1 Lounge. The prices are obviously higher than elsewhere. Avoid sneakers, caps and anything that might suggest sport. The clientele here is smart and trendy.
TIKI TAKY

The only Tiki Bar in Prague welcomes Czechs and expats from the area, especially at the end of the night when all the other bars are closed, probably because of the time difference! Behind the counter is a beautiful range of arranged rums, and cocktails are a ray of sunshine on their own. A good little address.

All the atmosphere of the 1980s is on display in the first room, which serves as a bar at the end of the afternoon, the time to hydrate before migrating to the back room, all in length, to move to the rhythm of the hits of a decade never out of fashion when it comes to partying. The atmosphere is good, the cocktails not exceptional, but the prices are attractive: all the ingredients are there to spend a good evening on the dance floor until the small hours..
THERAPY
Read moreA very successful concept for this trendy café where you can finally do everything: have a drink, eat a bite (hearty and very cheap), chat philosophy or buy ceramics from the gallery at the back of the room. The young audience gathers after the show in the kaverna next to the theatre, which comes alive until late at night.
BLUE LIGHT CAFÉ
Read moreMore destructive than trendy, it cannot be said whether the walls, covered with graffiti highlighted by the lighting, are older than the sofas or whether one will collapse before the other. At the bar, you have to play elbows to make room, and the crowded room always ends up overflowing on the sidewalk. But overall, it's good-natured, the atmosphere is very relaxed and festive for the neighbourhood. Strangely enough, there is no longer any draught beer but a bottle. On the other hand, cocktails with or without alcohol are still as famous as ever.

A few French and Italian labels, but most of the selected vintages come from local vineyards in Bohemia and Moravia.
NEBE VÁCLAVSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ
Read moreDisco bar very frequented by the golden Czech youth as well as many tourists. Set on two floors, the establishment is of good size and plays the charm card with a beautiful decoration a little kitschy, enhanced by subtle lighting that the spots and musical rhythms seem hardly to disturb. Don't expect sharp music, however. Possibility to eat on site until midnight, but this is of little interest, as the atmosphere does not take off until 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning. Two other addresses exist in Prague.

MALÁ BRETAŇ
Read moreGranite, wood and stone in a room so cramped that you would think you were taking refuge in a Breton lighthouse, as the many watercolours decorating the walls of this cave known only to regular visitors give the illusion. You have to look for it, this lively bar where you can talk until the wee hours with pop or rock music. Wine and beer are the stars of the orders, but we can also order some cocktails, rather successful. For the aperitif, order the small hot or cold sandwiches made at home: a delight!
BOHUZEL BAR
Read moreIt's punk, it's crazy, it's open most of the night and it's cheap. In the tradition of red-light district bars, the Bohužel attracts a diverse clientele of regulars who come to order cheap beers from a warm and jovial team of bartenders. In short, a little experience for fans, a curiosity for others.
