CROSS CLUB CAFÉ (KAVARNA KLUBU CROSS)

Club
4.6/5
5 reviews

The Cross is known to all festival-goers from Central Europe who visit it during their brief stay in Prague. Cross Club can be identified by the tram (which acts as a bar). From there, a door leads underground into a vast space with about ten surprisingly decorated rooms. Some rooms are not very accessible, but those who find them will not be disappointed. The concerts are on the floor where we mix reggae or electro. Obviously, the clientele is very rooted and you haven't seen me at all.

ROCK CAFÉ

Club
5/5
1 review

A once emblematic rock club whose quality has declined slightly in recent years. However, the programming remains of a very regular quality, with many Czech rock bands but also quite a few international posters, especially Anglo-Saxon ones. The place is nice, the entrance is often free (except when very famous groups pass by) and the price of drinks is not exaggerated as in other rooms of the same kind. The audience remains mainly Czech or expat. Some evenings can be very crowded!

VAGON

Discotheque
5/5

One of the two emblematic rock clubs on rue Nationale, Le Vagon is a warm and festive basement space. Every evening, Czech groups ranging from amateurs to the famous Plastic People of the Universe regularly perform, followed by DJs who keep the party going until the early hours of the morning. Evenings featuring mythical groups such as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones or the Pink Floyd are often scheduled. As for drinks, it's also very rock, beer and whiskies in the spotlight, as well as rums and cocktails.

MEETFACTORY

Club

In the heart of the working-class district of Smíchov, in the former premises of the Czech Railways, the Meet Factory is the mainstay of Prague's alternative scene. Created by Czech artist David Černý, known for his highly controversial sculptures, this multi-disciplinary venue is renowned for its commitment to promoting Prague'sunderground: exhibitions, screenings, concerts, performances... The Meet Factory is perhaps the best place to get an idea of what the most ebullient tip of today's Czech creation is all about.

LUCERNA MUSIC CLUB

Club
4.7/5
3 reviews

Located in the mythical Lucerna Passage, this very popular downtown concert hall is packed with a solid weekday schedule (DJ, live music...) and legendary 80s parties on Fridays and Saturday nights that have always been sold out for years. There will be a very mixed audience between Czech 30-year-olds, young tourists and many expats. One of the best clubs in Prague, neither overrated nor too cheap: the atmosphere is guaranteed and seduction is on its way.

LE CLAN

Club
4.5/5

A club with a sulphurous reputation, it's one of those after-hours clubs that opens at dawn and attracts all those who can't or won't sleep. It's a very eclectic faun atmosphere, a little crazy at times, a little creepy at others, depending on when you go and what state of mind you're in. As it says at the entrance: don't go there if you have something important to do later in the day... In short, a place we don't necessarily recommend for the coffee, but for everything else..

HARLEYS

Club
4/5
1 review

Bar and nightclub located in the heart of the old town, Harley is, as its name suggests, a place themed on the famous American motorcycle. Inside, however, there are no big bearded and tattooed bikers in jeans and leather, but rather a mixture of tourists, expats and locals who meet to party until the end of the night, in a rather young and wild atmosphere. On the menu, good cocktails and draught beers, DJs, dancers and sometimes spectacular animations.

MUSIC CLUB & BAR PHENOMEN

Club

Music Club Phenomen is aimed at the new generation of young Czech executives. "Work hard play hard" is the key word for this trendy and design bar-club located in the heart of the working class district of Smíchov. You will find a festive atmosphere every weekend, with R'n'B, electro and disco music. For the district, it is a rather welcome novelty and which allows him to open to a new clientele, more well-off but certainly not less festive.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Club

Rare enough in the city center to be worth mentioning, this nightclub doesn't stand out, for once, for its go-go dancers (there aren't any) or its exorbitant prices (entry is free). The 25-40 year-olds who frequent the place come here to have fun and listen to a mix of pop-rock-techno music as soon as the few tourists have deserted the place, usually between midnight and 1am. Order at the bar and try to find a place for yourself, or let yourself be carried along by the rhythm of the music and get to know each other..

You'll pass it again and again as you stroll along Wenceslas Square. The club is located on the top floor of the building at the corner of Jindřišská Street, and it's always packed, any night of the week. Beautiful girls, handsome guys, overpriced drinks, gogo dancers, lots of tourists... in short, all the ingredients for the success of a club that has been fashionable for many years already... Not very authentic and very superficial, but effective when you like this type of atmosphere. After that, you either love it or hate it.

It's hard to miss the countless signs around Charles Bridge proclaiming this club to be "the biggest in Central Europe". Not surprising in terms of ambience. But big it is, with its many different-sounding rooms (chill, hardcore dance, dance house). Five floors of dancing, drinking and fun in a very young, very touristy atmosphere. Special mention for the ice pub, where the atmosphere never gets cold! If you're going out in the early hours of the morning, take the opportunity to stroll along Charles Bridge when it's deserted.

If you are a vegetarian and spend a weekend in Prague, you will have no trouble finding what you are looking for at the Radost FX restaurant-bar. Located not far from the I.P.Pavlova metro station, this bar-restaurant and disco (one of the most famous in the city) has an excellent vegetarian restaurant that has been renowned for several years (it was there before fashion spread in Prague) and offers the best dishes of its kind in the city. MECCA

Club

One of the best clubs in Prague, who has been leading the bill for more than a decade without going out of style. At least undoubtedly in the category of the most trendy addresses, even if the club itself is actually lost in the middle of the residential area of Holešovice. It attracts the golden Prague youth, rich Russians and many expats for long, drunken nights. The girls are radiant, the guys elegant and the seduction is going well. The music is excellent and many international DJs come to mix.

Have you filled up on calories at the restaurant (burgers, milkshakes, sodas...)? Then go to the basement of the same establishment. From midnight or 1am,oldies but goldies lovers come here to party until the end of the night. In the same spirit as in the restaurant, one warms up with old tunes. It is even common to dance to good old doo-wap tunes. As the temperature rises, the tunes and rhythms become more modern, but the atmosphere remains fresh and relaxed.

KLUBOVNA 2.PATRO

Club

Welcome to the highly confidential "Deuxième étage". No website, no phone, just a doorbell - on the second floor of an ordinary building at the end of a courtyard. Spotlights do most of the decorating and there's plenty of room to dance, but a little less to sit down, unless you arrive early, which isn't very interesting. In the early evening, the atmosphere is trendy and loungey, around the beautiful American-style bar, and from 11pm onwards, DJs and live music liven up the dance floor for a decidedly more festive atmosphere.

MUSIC CLUB ZLATÝ STROM

Hostess bar

Zlatý Strom is one of the most popular clubs in the heart of Prague's old town for 20 years. An attractive program and a unique atmosphere on the three floors and around the five bars make it famous, as does its striptease bar, which attracts a mainly male and tourist clientele. For the more classical part, live music, DJ for afters, cheap beer and dance floors, with a few go-go dancers and hostesses on the weekends... finally only very classic for Prague!

KLUB 007

Club

Klub 007, a concert hall and nightclub located under one of the student residences on Strahov hill, offers an excellent musical programme with many Czech and international concerts featuring rock, folk, reggae and punk in a fairly alternative underground space. It's young, it's noisy, it's smoky, it's crazy... An underground address that has everything to please and that affirms its success year after year by knowing how to renew itself without changing. A success. Check out the program on their website.
