Just 16 km from Rhodes town, the two small bays of Ladiko are sheltered from the wind and are ideal for swimming. The better-known beach is known as Anthony Quinn Bay, 200 m from the main beach. Indeed, it was here that actor Anthony Quinn bought a plot of land, after discovering the area during the filming of The Guns of Navarone (J. Lee Thompson, 1961). Considered one of the most beautiful beaches on Rhodes, Anthony Quinn Bay is narrow and crowded in season, so come early in the morning. In the middle of the day, you'll have to pass. KTEL buses run regularly between Rhodes town and Ladiko.
