A good way to discover Croatian wine (and to taste the best bottles) is during this festival dedicated to the wines of the Dubrovnik region. About 60 producers are gathered every year, representing the most famous wine regions of southern Dalmatia. The Pelješac peninsula is famous for its red wines, especially plavac Mali and dingač. The island of Korčula is usually associated with white wines like grk or pošip. Finally, Konavle, south of Dubrovnik, produces both red and white wine, such as malvazija.
