The Institut is a "key player in the artistic, cultural and intellectual life of the Malagasy capital": live performances, cinema, visual arts, conferences and debates are all on the program. There's also an attractive media library, where you can discover French-language literature. A terrace adjoining the media library lets you spend a quiet moment outside, leafing through magazines. Annual closure in August.

Cinema le mecredi et le samedi dans la journée. Un très bonne médiatheque et des spectacles locaux et internationaux variés, danse moderne, hip hop, jazz. Sans doute l'espace culturel le plus actif de Mada.
There for during a stay Tana allows you to keep informed events. They are varied (concerts, dance...) and often, for a often interesting rate. For me unmissable.
