The ancient Lycian city of Phoenicia is the starting point for excursions to Elmalı, Arykanda and Limyra. The road following the Finike corniche in Demre is sinuous and dangerous, but offers spectacular views over turquoise waters and coves where you can swim. A few kilometers before Kale, the road goes down to a kind of open lagoon where various restaurants are more attractive than the others offering crab specialties to the village of Beymelek.
