Travel Guide Borino (Борино)

Near the Kastrakli nature reserve, a sanctuary for 450 species of butterflies, Borino (population 3,500) is an ideal stopover for mountain tourism, on Route 197 between Dospat and Devin. A 20 km long hiking trail, called "Devil's Path", offers hikers beautiful routes with magnificent views of the Rhopods. Moreover, Borino is a multi-ethnic village where Turks, Bulgarians, Muslims and Roma live together in tolerance. As far as accommodation is concerned, there are two interesting places to stay in the village: the Family Hotel Daisy, with a local restaurant, and the Hotel Elegance with large and bright rooms.
