In the south of Tak province, Um Phang is located 164 km south of Mae Sot on the 1090 road. Its national park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989. It is true that the mountainous landscapes are sumptuous. Until about ten years ago, this little known destination was only visited by Thais. There is a natural sanctuary there, access to which is normally supervised and restricted. However, under certain conditions (accompanied by a certified guide), it is now possible to cross this reserve on foot, possibly with a descent of the river in "raft"
