The city of Tagaytay, located 65 km from Manila, is the second summer capital of the metropolitans after Baguio. From the top of its 700 m of altitude, the city overhangs the famous Taal volcano, one of the most active. The viewpoints are magnificent and worth the detour. The charm of Tagaytay lies in the panorama that it offers on the Taal lake, but the visitors of Manila, locals or expatriates, also appreciate the milder temperatures and its softness of life. There is no pollution or congestion, as there is no downtown area to speak of. The church, the city hall, the market and the hotels are scattered among the fields in bloom and the plantations of coconut trees.
