Opened in the spring of 2016 by a friendly French restaurant couple, Valerie and Franck, this chain specializes in preparing take-out picnics (up to 70 meals), made with fresh, and local, produce whenever possible: salads, poke bowls, sandwiches, desserts, fresh juices, and homemade beverages, offering vegetarian and vegan options for almost every dish, and even lending out a cooler and icepack. Everything is good, carefully prepared and eco-friendly, and the location is central, just steps from the Cathedral.

We love this little café full of sweet and savory delights for eating on the go (or to take away) right across from the cathedral. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients, and you can feel it in every bite. As well as tasty sandwiches and bagels, you can try Argentinian and Uruguayan specialties such as alfajores, medialunas, croissants with dulce de leche and empanadas. And to top it all off (which is no mean feat for a café...), the coffee is really good!

An absolute must for those looking for a takeaway address, Ulisses restaurant is nestled in Plaça del Mercat (5 minutes from the store). Dishes change daily and are prepared with local, seasonal ingredients. Rice specialties and roasted meats are available at weekends. You can also order or collect your meal directly from the Ulisses Bar. What a change from the typical sandwiches for picnics on the beach!

You'll discover this friendly, healthy café on a pleasant little square, Plaça d'Artrutx. On the terrace, at breakfast or lunchtime, sweet and savory mingle, with vegan pancakes and delicious (cold-pressed) fruit juices, homemade kimchi sandwiches and acai bowls. As indicated on the menu, the vast majority of products used are organic and local, and all their breads are sourdough. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and even sugar-free options! Several types of kombucha too. Healthy and very good.
