ES TAP NOU

Restaurant
5/5
1 review

Es Tap Nou is a well known address for locals, where you can go at any time of the day for a short and easy repair stopover! Market gardeners before being restaurateurs, the owners of the place run a shop selling fresh local fruit and vegetables to which they have added a volley of tables on the terrace, offering salads as copious as they are very good, solid toast (goat's cheese in particular!), but also superb batidos (juices) of various fruits (on the slate, the juice of the day). Everything is good, healthy, and not expensive!

SA COVA

Mediterranean cuisine restaurant €€

A natural cave in the heart of the old town. It is here that you will find this little gem of a French bistro. If the owner Nicolas is a fine sommelier who has worked in excellent addresses in Paris and New York, "French" cannot sum up the subtlety of the cuisine served here. The new chef, Begoña Arizmendi, is skilfully at work in her open kitchen, combining skills from the four corners of the world with ingredients full of freshness: ceviche, turbot meunière, duck confit... The wine pairing is impeccable.

CA N’ALFREDO

Seafood Restaurant €€
4/5
1 review

Founded in 1934, the restaurant Ca N'Alfredo is an institution in the city that offers typical Ibizan cuisine such as Guisado de pescado or Cuinat (typical of Semana Santa), excellent soups but also good paellas, fresh fish and homemade desserts. The owner, Alfredo, is often there to monitor the quality of the service. You will find an extensive wine list of wines from the islands and the peninsula (about a hundred) to accompany your dishes. A good place to taste the traditional flavours of Ibiza.

BAR 1805

Restaurant €€
4/5
1 review

A small French evening canteen run by the inspired barman Charles and his communicative joie de vivre, the 1805 bar is located on a square in the picturesque Sa Penya district. On the menu: mastered hexagonal specialities such as croque-monsieur, goat's cheese salad, entrecote steak and of course the mussels and chips (home-made!) which have partly made the reputation of the place. The other part probably comes from the man's masterful cocktail-making skills, with the Green Beast, based on absinthe, lime and cucumber, as a star attraction.

BEBEL IBIZA

Located at the foot of the citadel, at the end of a small and ancient street, the Bebel is an Italian restaurant that opened its doors in 2018 in the former premises of the very famous fish restaurant Romolo al porto, which was opened in 1968. On the plate, we are dealing with something approaching gourmet cuisine, true to that of Romolo: fish above all! Here, it is the quality of the products that is important! Passed through the hands of the chef, they come in prepared dishes or raw fish tapas. Excellent homemade pasta and desserts!

1 review

The restaurant of the hotel of the same name, located inside the fortifications of Dalt Vila, in the front line, is a recommendable option - but not cheap! - for those who want to enjoy the old town in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It serves a very good Mediterranean cuisine, based on meat and fish. The breakfasts are excellent. In the morning, at noon and in the evening, you will appreciate the cosy and intimate atmosphere, in the pretty service room and from the large terrace with a view of the small park opposite. Very friendly service.

FORMENTERA

Restaurant €€
5/5
1 review

The Formentera, opened in 1939 by a local - Joan Tur Ramis - was once frequented by the fishermen of the city because located in front of the marina, the same family held this foundation until 2011, when the historic hostel has been renovated. The decor is still very rustic and the cuisine is as traditional as ever, with superb arroces and paellas as the star dishes. Fish and meat, small vegetables and aïoli, all served on the terrace, facing the passers-by. Typical, but not necessarily cheap...

An elegant address, specializing in Iberian sea food. The decor itself is an invitation to escape to the sea, supported by soft jazz notes in the background, while the chef Pedro Tur is busy in the kitchen. A true guardian of the island's culinary traditions, he will be happy to guide you through the many proposals on the menu: arroces (rice) and fideuas (noodles), bullit de peix or borrida de ratjada... All these solid dishes can be accompanied by very good wines. We recommend the main dish of the place: Sa Nansa. Bona apetit!

El Soleado offers an excellent French cuisine inspired by Provence, but also with a Mediterranean fusion: thyme roasted rack of lamb, carpaccio speciality and skillfully cooked fish, all to be accompanied by a good glass of chilled rosé wine. A pleasant setting far from the crowds with a superb terrace by the sea, run by Aline and Philippe, a nice couple from Lyon. Perfect for a romantic meal or a drink at sunset time. A real little Provencal stopover under the Ibiza sun.

LA OLIVA

It's best to book your table, as the place is small: La Oliva has only a few tables set up on a narrow street in the old town. The setting is quite charming, which justifies the rather high prices. On the food side, there are tasty Provençal-inspired dishes, with an emphasis on fish and local produce: zucchini carpaccio with grilled Ibizan almonds; sesame-crusted salmon, sautéed vegetables with coconut, teriyaki; beef fillet, truffle juice; not to mention the array of desserts.

If there is one restaurant in the heart of the old town that stands out, it is El Olivo Mio, the emblematic restaurant of Dalt Vila. Your hosts are the friendly Rita and her all-female team, happily twirling between the white-tablecloth tables on the pretty terrace, from which the view of the street is breathtaking. On the menu, fresh products are the main attraction, with a variety of dishes, some Mediterranean, some Italian. As for the wine list, it oscillates between France and Spain. A really good address!

LOCALS ONLY IBIZA

" Think globally, eat locally " reads the sign on the front of Locals Only, a small restaurant inspired by Italian osterias, located in the lively Plaça del Parque. The owner, Tito Piazza, is the master of his battalion of waiters, who swirl around the pretty candlelit terrace or in the dimly lit service room. On the menu, simple and very good dishes made from local products, but also a few sweets from other parts of the Mediterranean. Very pleasant atmosphere. Spanish and Italian wines.

A great classic, the Bidebide is a restaurant of Basque cuisine with a canteen atmosphere, where you can eat either sitting or standing. The bar is lined up with a variety of pintxos (small slices of bread topped with food) that you can pick up yourself by putting the sticks aside to pay your bill. Some good wines, simple cocktails (the gin and tonics are very successful). An economical and warm address from which one comes out with a full belly. A good option at any time of the day!

LA DISPENSA

It is impossible to miss the Dispensa in the charming alleys of Dalt Vila: its small tables decorate the square of the Santa Creu. Special attention is paid to detail, both in the antique grocery store and in the three rooms with a vintage-chic atmosphere that can be found across the street. While one of them houses the workshop of a master sushi maker who is more than familiar with the art of raw fish, it is above all Italian cuisine that is in the spotlight here. The carefully selected ingredients are arranged in copious Mediterranean plates.

Located in the Marina, in the heart of the port of Ibiza, the restaurant Can Guillemis offers excellent Mediterranean cuisine, where the quality of the products is of prime importance, without forgetting to take particular care in the presentation. Located at the foot of the passage leading to the entrance to Dalt Vila, Il Dek is a trendy Italian address with starred chef Andrea Alimenti at the stove. Typical Italian dishes (the pizzas are very good and the focaccia with octopus will seduce many), but also some original fusion recipes and proposals of raw fish from the sushi bar, to be enjoyed morning, noon and evening, accompanied by a fruit juice, coffee or cocktail. It's not necessarily cheap, but the setting and the food are worth it. Remember to book in season.

At the confluence of Dalt Vila and La Marina, the terrace of the Croissant Show is a great Iberian breakfast classic. It serves excellent French pastries with fresh fruit juice (albeit a little expensive), as well as sandwiches and quiches at lunchtime. We particularly appreciate the terrace overlooking the market. It is here that all the summer fauna of the city mixes, artists, beautiful people, locals, travellers, often giving rise to original meetings.

A small restaurant in the city centre next to the Plaça del Parc, which is worth your visit if only for the beauty of its patio and gardens. You will taste a tasty Mediterranean cuisine (the paellas are rather successful), with a wide choice of grilled meats and fish as well as desserts and ice creams. Pleasant service. A good option to start the evening!
