In the past, Brel could be seen in this pop-rock temple of music. Today, we listen to stars who still want to perform in a place with a human dimension or young Belgian talents, French songs or World Music. With a capacity of 2,000 people standing, the hall is modular and can be adapted to different styles of music. During quieter concerts, you can sit on the bleachers. Go upstairs and you will discover the AB Box with its intimate atmosphere. Aimed at a young audience, the AB makes sure that the concerts end at 10.30 pm.

The tradition of puppet shows dates back to the^17th-century ban on Dutch-language theaters, whose plays displeased the Spanish authorities. The show, reduced to its miniature, derisive and sarcastic actors, was performed in cellars. The Théâtre de Toone strives to keep alive the spirit of the puppet theaters of yesteryear, popular in the old Netherlands. The plays are now performed in French, with a sprinkling of Brussels expressions, while remaining understandable to French speakers.

Housed in a 17th century baroque chapel, this contemporary art centre presents an eclectic programme in which dance, theatre and visual arts play the leading roles. The place has an irregular program, but it allows to have an idea of the new trends. The bar is open from 6pm onwards on the evenings of the shows and it is possible to eat (dish of the day or assortment of cheeses, cold cuts or vegans), preferably with a reservation. Not to be confused with the eponymous restaurant Les Brigittines, which has been open for years, just a few steps away.

Press the Archi's doorbell and enter another world where nothing, apart from the customers' attire, has changed since the 1930s: architecture, decor and comfortable original Art Deco armchairs that invite visitors to lounge around sipping a pisco sour. In 1953, jazz pianist Stan Brenders took over the establishment. His piano is still there, as are the jazz concerts, every weekend in the late afternoon. In the evenings, a motley crew gathers here, and after a certain hour, it's time to dance. L'Archi is a Brussels legend!

Exhibitions, concerts, think tanks and shows are on the programme of this multicultural venue. Just a stone's throw from Place Flagey, the theatre is dedicated to the pleasures of the mind and mouth. At the Bar du Marni, the show is associated with a local restaurant to prolong a mixed experience on the plate (Luka, le Patio, Wok Minute... and we're forgetting!). A cultural hub and musical Mecca, the Jazz Station is a unique venue devoted to jazz, established in a fully restored former railway station. Experienced music lovers and the curious alike will be delighted. Courses on the history and understanding of jazz, public rehearsals and exhibitions, jazz concerts several days a week, a jazz club, a snack bar and a bar are just some of the attractions of this convivial, unifying space, which is also the voluntary refuge of Soirs d'Hortense, one Wednesday a month.

Bonnefooi ("by chance" in the local dialect...) is defined as a dance bar with DJ sets every opening night and free concerts on Wednesdays and Sundays, to the delight of a young audience. Local artists of all stripes perform here, and many international stars have also made a name for themselves. Enchanting setting and intoxicating music of all kinds (electronic, jazz...)... open until 8 a.m. on weekends! Upstairs, you can privatize the entire restaurant (50 pers. minimum) or reserve a few tables.

Le Basilic is a café-theater located in Brussels. It serves Belgian, European and French cuisine. Customer reviews are mixed, with some appreciating the delicious food and warm welcome from the staff, while others criticize the show and the food. Value for money is considered good. The restaurant is located beneath the basilica, in a unique and beautiful setting. Some customers recommend it for its originality and warm atmosphere. However, others have been disappointed by the quality of the food and service. Advance reservations are recommended, as some dates may be fully booked.

Forest National is the second largest concert hall in the capital (after the Palais 12 du Heysel) with a capacity of approximately 8,400 seats. Every year, it welcomes the most popular French and international stars. The Stones, U2, Bob Marley, Queen, Sardou, Johnny Hallyday and Stromae have all performed at Forest National. Some artists even enjoy recording their live albums there. Since 1971, Forest has become a mythical venue with over 3,000 concerts and shows.

The former covered market Sainte-Marie, dating from the 19th century, has become an invitation to the interdisciplinarity of the arts, a commitment to a dialogue on the contemporary world, proposing an intergenerational exchange. Les Halles de Schaerbeek thus embodies the reallocation of an industrial site into a cultural structure. Located in a mixed neighbourhood, Les Halles wants to be an actor and co-author of a better social cohesion, that of their neighbourhood. Dance, circus, theatre, literature... the arts respond to each other, all with a view to the world.

A zany little place where there's never a dull moment. The list of events includes some thirty events. In addition, collaborations with other structures continue, including Kunstenfestivaldesarts and KVS. If you've never danced with death, listened to an entire album in the dark, discussed science over cocktails or attended a podcast festival - all on the 2023-2024 program - now might be a good time to discover Atelier 210, which continues to amaze even the most discerning of audiences.

Perched above the Botanical Gardens, the Bota is one of the city's great concert halls. In fact, there are 3 of them: the Orangery, which is the main hall, the Rotunda, which by its modest size brings the audience closer to the artists who perform there, and the Witloof Bar, in the cellar, which is suitable for intimate concerts. The Bota is known for the quality of its line-ups and for its Nuits Botaniques festival, every year in May, one of the big musical events of the year. Also quality exhibition spaces and a nice bar with view on the park.

Originally a Flemish theatre, the Beurs has gradually diversified its activities in a spirit of multicultural openness. It has become a key venue for contemporary creation in Brussels. Concerts, often by emerging artists, exhibitions and other artistic activities are often organised here. Music is omnipresent in the bar, with regular DJ sets and cutting-edge concerts. In the summer, the rooftop offers a nice alternative to the bar on the ground floor. The public is rather artistic and intellectual.

IN-CRE-VA-BLE and as rebellious as ever, Magasin 4 continues to raise the banner of alternative music: punk, ska, funk, hardcore, experimental... Since 1994, when they were housed at 4 rue du Magasin, they've been making noise. Both a club and a concert hall, the concept is currently housed in warehouses not far from the canal in Anderlecht, although they will have to move to a permanent location some time from now. Aka Moon, Babylon Circus and Lofofora have all survived its overheated atmosphere.

The biggest names on the international artistic scene have performed there. The theatre has been a precursor for surprising, innovative or irreverent shows. A cultural jewel, the Opera de La Monnaie is one of the most appreciated in Europe. In perfect harmony with the prestige of its main building and at the back of it, you will find the theatre with a cutting edge and contemporary programme. It is aimed at teenagers who benefit from specific information sessions, workshop visits and special adapted performances. Visits to the theatre are organised on Saturday lunchtimes. It is said that it was following an opera in 1830 that the Belgians made their "revolution" for Belgian independence.
