Since 1882, this small restaurant (whose name "Chez Camille" has remained on the facade) has had a very brusseleir décor: mirrors and enamelled plates on the wall, checked tablecloths, old-fashioned service, the room is warm. The menu is also rustic as here we serve family cuisine and excellent mussels and chips. It is composed of stoemps, carbonnades, rare steaks, duck breast (whole) à la kriek, really delicious... and at reasonable prices. The table is known, you will have to reserve. In a decor inspired by Venetian brasseries, the atmosphere is relaxed. It's a change from the rather basic student barsor the Asian restaurants in the neighbourhood. The pizzas are made over a wood fire and go perfectly with the wines that the owner produces in Campania. It is not by chance that this "Italian dream" has been a reference for lovers of pizza, antipasti, fresh pasta and other Italian specialities for almost 40 years. The suggestions are also there. Note that it is open 7 days a week, as you may well spend a day there.

It's been around twenty years, although it feels more like two hundred. You just expect the likes of Baudelaire or Lord Byron to step in with a bunch of bohemian friends and order plates of truffle stuffed ravioli. Besides a nice choice of pastas, Le Malte offers a few solid salads, including chicken livers with raspberry jelly and caramelized apples. Seafood lovers will find their satisfaction, and the house burger won't take anything away from the lamb filet or the duck confit. And yes, their's warm tarte Tatin and lemon meringue pie for dessert. If you are unconceivably in a hurry for lunch, they serve 8.50 € plats du jour in ten min. On Sundays, all main courses are 10 €. And if your bohemian friends wish to purchase any painting decorating the walls, just ask to add it to the bill.
