In one of the city's most picturesque squares, the Gran Caffè de la Caffettiera brings the aroma of true Neapolitan coffee to the heart of ancient Roman remains. The room is quite pretty and the summer terrace most pleasant, but it's above all for the "artistic" coffee served in the traditional long-handled copper coffee pot that one sits here. The pastries, including babà and lemon cakes, have a special Mediterranean flavour.

One of Trastevere's trendiest bars. It offers signature cocktails, some with mezcal, accompanied by sushi, Mexican-style tapas and desserts, all with an Italian fusion twist. The place is cosy and designer, decorated with succulents and cacti hanging on the walls. DJs set the mood on weekend evenings, which are very popular with visiting tourists. A great place to meet other travelers in an international atmosphere!

Just a few blocks from Piazza Navona, one of the capital's most popular wine bars. In the spirit of the dolce vita, Il Goccetto cultivates a relaxed, authentic atmosphere, building on the reputation it has established over the years. Renowned journalists, professors, local merchants, chefs: a whole world meets here for an evening drink. Tourists are a little less numerous than elsewhere. On the wooden shelves that furnish the interior, you'll find the best of Italian wine cellars to drink with a few cold plates.

At any time of day and in any season, this café is never empty. This is due to (or rather thanks to!) its famous gelati, which everyone loves: the cone is made of crunchy cookie and the flavors are as varied as they are varied. Its name, Ma che siete venuti a fa, sounds like a provocation! It means "But what have you come here to do?" in Roman pronunciation. You're sure to find a good reason to stay!

A pleasant bar in the trendy Monti district. You can watch passers-by through a canopy of small tiles in the greenery, since the facade of this little house is covered in ivy, making it impossible to miss! Here you can enjoy original cocktails (the list is long, by the way, so it's hard to choose!) as well as wine, craft beers and non-alcoholic drinks, including two house cocktails. The price of the drinks can be a bit steep, but the cocktails are well made and the place is charming.

The venue is both bar and restaurant, with live performances by local artists and DJ sets. A daily menu offers creative cocktails and seasonal dishes. A word of advice: sit back and relax inside - the setting, with its pretty upholstered chairs, old-fashioned chandeliers and retro sofas, is a perfect movie set! Outside, a charming little illuminated garden planted with a tree is just as pleasant. The restaurant is open very late, as is the kitchen. If you are staying in the Pigneto area, this is the perfect place to start your day.

Since 1816 and the first performance of The Barber of Seville, Teatro Argentina, inaugurated in 1732, has hosted the greatest plays of the classical dramatic repertoire, as well as more modern adaptations. Located on Largo Argentina, it is the headquarters of the Teatro di Roma Foundation and certainly one of the city's most popular theaters, thanks to its eclectic program. If you don't wish to attend a performance, there's a small museum inside, which is only accessible on rare occasions and subject to prior booking.

The Art Café is one of the most exclusive clubs in the capital. Within the very heart of the Villa Borghese, this improbable place offers three rooms with different atmospheres: R&B-latino, house and revival. In other words, there's a lot of excitement in the VIP squares! You will have understood it, to have a tiny chance to enter this trendy and select place, you will have to take care of your look like never before! During the summer, the club travels within the park itself. Rather superficial and you can see me, it is here that we will find all the golden Roman youth.

If you want to surf the Net with your own computer, install in this cafe at the entrance to Trastevere, the Wi-Fi connection is excellent and free. On the terrace or in the window with windows, you will be able to spend a long time without being specially tempted to eat. The headquarters of the Maison du cinéma is located in the heart of the Villa Borghese park. This institution is a landmark for all film lovers. Since the 1930s, this prestigious hall located near St. Peter's Basilica has hosted the world's greatest classical music concerts. Conductors such as Herbert von Karajan or Leonard Bernstein have performed there. There will also be dance and visual arts performances. Born from the idea of a group of young people to revitalise and revitalise this silent corner of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the address is in full swing with a colourful offer. The pastries and cakes are delicious and the menu, reworked according to the season, allows you to choose between pasta, a poke bowl, avocado toast or a salad to compose.

Initially, the Alibi was considered as THE gay nightclub in Rome. Today, the LGBTQ community is less and less frequenting this nightclub, but the establishment still has a presence in the Testaccio district. We find a spirit of conviviality in which a warm and refined decor lends itself. Soul, house, dance and disco music all night long. In summer, you can enjoy the fresh air on the large terrace under the stars. A good address for party people with drinks at a rather affordable price.

Numbs is a trendy bar open all day. This makes it perfect for a light lunch on the outdoor patio or a nice dinner with a cocktail afterwards. But this place is best known for its aperitif. From 7pm to 9pm, a mixed crowd frequents this place to enjoy a drink in the cool atmosphere and with an abundant buffet. But it is the lounge effect and the music that make the difference. Two other addresses in Rome: piazza Campo de' Fiori and in the shopping mall of Tiburtina station.

Open from morning to night, Bottiglieria Pigneto has established itself over the years in the Pigneto district, where the competition is fierce! A neighborhood bar in the morning, where Romans come to have breakfast at the counter, at lunch and dinner time the establishment becomes a restaurant. At dopocena time (after dinner), the locals come to enjoy a cocktail or a digestif, always in the pleasant, hushed atmosphere for which this address is famous.

Located in a former chocolate factory, the Said boutique (société anonyme industrielle des douceurs) has been delighting chocolate lovers with truffles, candies, bars and other delicacies since 1923. The decor looks like it used to be in the middle of the machines of the old factory. We also come here to have an aperitif, but the must is to come and taste one of their pastries for a snack, away from the hustle and bustle of via Tiburtina, in a small quiet courtyard. A confidential and tasty address for all gourmands!

Opened a few years ago in the Monti district, Civico 4 is also a restaurant but we recommend you come for theaperitivo more than for a meal. Although the dishes are refined and tasty, their prices are a bit high. So we prefer to have a snack and a drink in good company. Here we are young and trendy, in a sober industrial decor with cement tiles on the floor and the spritz is king at the aperitif time. The service is a bit cold, but Civico 4 is perfectly located on the corner of Piazza Madonna dei Monti.

A mythical scene, it's Italy's oldest jazz club, located just a few meters north of the Vatican. Some of the world's greatest jazz musicians got their start here. All week long, concerts start at 9pm. You can find the rich program online. Please note that the club closes in summer and moves to the Celimontana jazz festival. It's possible to dine in the restaurant from 8pm onwards, but it's more popular to come here to enjoy a glass of wine and listen to jazz music. A must for all jazz enthusiasts.

Elegant, modern but unpretentious, this trendy bar is located in an extraordinary square, piazza di Pietra, just opposite Hadrian's temple. From the terrace, the setting is enchanting! Salotto 42 is run by an Italian-Swedish couple. The decor features soft armchairs and sofas in a private club atmosphere, and the small terrace is just as pleasant. The aperitif from 7pm to 9pm is very popular with young Romans, and the cocktails are excellent. A trendy address for a drink in central Rome.

Very large wooden wine bar, in the heart of the charming Monti district, about ten minutes walk from the Colosseum. Small garden inside and very good selection of white, red and sparkling wines (more than 600 labels in all), but also grappa, whisky... Possibility to eat seasonal dishes on the go, or to nibble on a board of cold cuts and/or cheeses to accompany your drink. Prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but you are in a chic and trendy neighborhood.

It is a little far from the Pigneto that you will find the largest discotheque in Rome. The programme is varied and includes rock evenings on Mondays and club evenings on Saturdays, offering the best of Italian and international urban music. Le Qube is also famous for its popular homosexual evenings, organized by the Muccassina, the centre of Roman LGBTQ cultures. A festive and warm place with a gigantic dance floor and several rooms where you can choose your favourite atmosphere.

A legendary nightclub in Rome and known throughout Italy, launched by young rebels from the 60s. Located just in front of the chic Coppedè district, it has kept its transgressive and trendy spirit. A rich international program always attracts a large crowd. The room is huge and can accommodate up to 1,500 people, so don't expect an intimate evening! But if you're a clubber at heart, this is definitely the place to go for a good night out!
