Practical information : Move & Laze around Rome
Budget & Tips
The large urban parks are great places to run, rollerblade or bike for free. If you are not equipped, you can rent bicycles and tandems on site, especially in the Villa Borghese Park (at the Bici Pincio kiosk) or on the Appia Antica (right at the entrance, near the bus stop).
What's very local
The calcio, of course! The best is to attend a derby AS Roma/Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. To buy your tickets: https: //www.asroma.com/it/tickets/buy-tickets
To be booked
If you want to go to an amusement park (Rainbow Magic Land in particular), think of booking on the Internet to benefit from advantageous rates.
Main events
Various sporting events take place in Rome throughout the year. The Stadio Olimpico is the venue for matches between AS Roma and S.S Lazio. Between February and March, it also hosts some of the rugby matches in the Six Nations tournament, in which Italy participates (alongside England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France), as well as the Golden Gala, an annual athletics competition. In March, the Rome Marathon (www.runromethemarathon.com) starts and finishes on via dei Fori imperiali, in a sumptuous setting that only the Eternal City can offer! In May, the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, Italy's most important tennis tournament, takes place at the Foro Italico. Around the same time, in the sublime park of the Villa Borghese, Piazza di Siena, an international horse-riding competition is held every year. The Race for the Cure is also held in May. Registration for this charity event is an opportunity to take part in the fight against breast cancer. Over a weekend, you can enjoy a variety of sports at the Circo Massimo, and on Sundays, a major race is held across the city(https://www.raceforthecure.it/).
