In one of the city's most picturesque squares, the Gran Caffè de la Caffettiera brings the aroma of true Neapolitan coffee to the heart of ancient Roman remains. The room is rather pretty and the summer terrace most pleasant, but it's above all for an "artistic" coffee served in the traditional long-handled copper coffee pot that one sits here. The pastries, including babà au rhum and lemon cakes, have a special Mediterranean flavour.
