On the pedestrian street of Pigneto, Tuba, librairie des femmes, offers a wide selection of books written by women, or dealing with themes linked to feminism. A reference bookshop in the field, Tuba is also a café-bar open all day long, with a pleasant terrace that's never empty. Numerous events are organized throughout the year (literary presentations, debates...): you'll find the program on its social networks.

A trendy place to meet up, especially in this neighborhood, which is rather lacking in nice places to go out. A host of regulars gather here every evening for aperitifs, dinner and evening drinks. The cocktails are simply excellent and the choice so vast, you'd almost forget to try one of the wines from the impressive cellar. You can accompany your drink with a snack at aperitif time. The only drawback is that Duke's is a long way from the town center.

On Viale Trastevere, Giselda is one of those addresses where it is good to take a break, at any time of the day. From breakfast to aperitif, you can come here for a coffee, a cocktail, a slice of pizza... There is always a good reason to come and have a drink! The establishment offers a wide choice of pastries, pastries, but also breads and pizzas. Romans and tourists meet there and, although we are in the very popular Trastevere district, the prices remain contained to eat on the go.

An artistic laboratory in a 3,500^m2 former factory. The Lanificio is a center for musical creation and contemporary art exhibitions. Bands from Italy and abroad come to play regularly, and the concerts attract large crowds at weekends. The club is also very popular. You can also dine here, served in a room magnificently decorated with vintage objects. A versatile place to discover, the only drawback is its very off-center location. Think of the self-service cars to get there!

The complex, designed by Renzo Piano, consists of three rooms with 2,700, 1,200 and 700 seats, plus a cavea for 300 people and a huge garden. Inside the complex, the archaeological remains of a Roman villa are still visible. The park is open to the public, with free access to the cavea, the foyer, the archaeological area and the garden. In the park there are also temporary exhibitions and artistic programs.

This is one of the most popular bars in Trastevere. They appreciate its excellent wine list, which can be drunk indoors in a trendy, subdued atmosphere, or on a charming terrace on a lively street in the neighborhood. Service is fast but rather unremarkable, but the atmosphere makes up for it. What's more, a small plate of tapas accompanies the bottle! Coffee, cocktails and lunch or dinner are also served. Concerts are sometimes organized, providing a great atmosphere.

From the Forum, up towards Santa Maria Maggiore, a simple, welcoming bar where you can relax to the melodious notes of jazz from 10pm. It's not just wine that's on offer (although the selection is quite varied, with over 100 labels ranging from white to red), but also numerous cocktails and the chance to nibble on fine Italian cured meats and Lazio cheeses. Aperilive (aperitif buffet and live music) takes place every Sunday. The first drink is obligatory during concerts.

When the establishment was founded in 1893 by two ladies, tea in Rome was only available in pharmacies! Since then, tea has not dethroned coffee in the hearts of the Romans, but artists and intellectuals seeking privacy like to take refuge here to work. Atmosphere and decor have remained very 19th century and the service still very British. A good address for an offbeat five o'clock, in a slightly exotic and so British setting!

In Madonna dei Monti Square beats the heart of the Monti district. Here, young Romans and charming tourists meet at the foot of the fountain drinking homemade beers bought in the area. This café offers a beautiful shaded terrace and a refreshing arbour. We look at the comings and goings around the fountain, we try to untangle the stories that are made from those that end... We will come here for a coffee or a cappuccino, but for lunch, we will prefer one of the trattorias in the neighbourhood.

One of the landmark addresses on Via del Pigneto where you can go with your eyes closed. The speciality here: traditional beer. In bottle, under pressure, amber, blond, redhead: the choice is there and it is certainly one of the best places in the capital to enjoy a quality beer. They are selected throughout the world (Belgium, France, United Kingdom...) to offer the best to a fauna happy to meet each other, especially on weekend evenings. During happy hour, until 8pm, the price-quality ratio is unbeatable.

Cargo is mythical on via del Pigneto. He is indeed one of the pioneers who reinvested the district a few years ago, and we can say that he had a flair for it! You can have an aperitif or have a drink while listening to a DJ set in a recently redesigned setting: large sofas, a well-stocked library, a subdued and relaxed atmosphere. The terrace is also very busy all year round. The boards for the aperitif (cheeses/sausages or vegetarian) are very good value for money. An essential address for Roman youth.

A tiny bar with a small terrace on top of the Janiculum hill. In summer, its wide variety of pressed fruit juices will delight you. In winter, try the hot chocolate. For breakfast, cornetti and cappuccino are also highly recommended, and at lunchtime you'll find both pasta dishes and sandwiches. It's a rather simple place, but the Romans like it... So we put it here because it's a good place to eat after walking around the area!

This little gem of a bar is nestled in the chic Hôtel de Russie on via del Babuino. The inner courtyard is superb, and you can sip high-flying cocktails in fine company. Try the gin and tonics and signature cocktails. Excellent Negroni are also served. Enjoy lunch or dinner. On the menu are a variety of dishes, including traditional Italian fare, sandwiches and salads. It's possible to eat until very late. A secret garden of luxury in Rome, waiting to be discovered.
