Just a stone's throw from Piazza di Spagna, Osteria al 31 offers a cuisine of traditional recipes, some of which have been revisited and others of which are innovative, the result of the chef's know-how and imagination. Innovation that perfectly matches the tradition, highlighting the importance of the ingredients used. The premises are welcoming, well cared for and comfortable, with a pleasant terrace on the pedestrian street that allows you to enjoy the bustle of the neighborhood. The service, kindness and professionalism of the staff are all there.

Not far from the Porta Metronia and about twenty minutes from the Colosseum, here's a good address open all day, with a very pleasant terrace on summer evenings. It's the ideal place for an aperitif or dinner in the neighborhood. The menu offers a variety of dishes to share with your glass of wine, from the typical Roman pinsa to the fresh and succulent salmon tartare. We also enjoyed the vegetarian platter, featuring a variety of roasted vegetables to pick at. To avoid waiting times in the evening, it's best to make a reservation.

Located in the Alberone district, a stone's throw from the Furio Camillo subway station, this pizzeria offers a classic and cheap menu. The pizzas and fritti are good (the supplì is of course a must, as are the fiori di zucca).The dessert menu was, on the other hand, rather limited during our visit.In summer, when the large terrace is animated until 00:30, the atmosphere is warm despite the very large number of seats.

One pizzeria, three concepts, four addresses! Sant'Isidoro, in Trastevere and Prati, offers succulent Neapolitan pizzas. The Sant'Isidorto pizza comes highly recommended, as do the supplì! In just a few years, this restaurant has conquered the hearts of the Romans with its traditional cuisine updated to the latest taste. Its name, Jole, is not by chance: it is the name of the grandmother of Luca, the owner. Here, the cuisine of the nonna (grandmother) is celebrated and the deliciously vintage decoration seems to have been chosen by her. On the menu, you must try the ravioli alla coda alla vacinara, ravioli stuffed with cow's tail, typical of Roman cuisine. For dessert, the crostatina con crema e frutta secca is exquisite!

A very good pizza al taglio (by the slice). As with most pizzerias of this type, you pay by weight. That's handy, because you can choose several slices of pizza! The choice is vast, so it's not going to be easy. We particularly recommend the anchovy and zucchini flower pizza, or the traditional pizza bianca . You'll also find some very good supplì. It's the perfect place for a quick lunch after visiting the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano.

The right address in this neighborhood to discover and savor the white pizza, also known as focaccia, which is thicker, cut in half and topped at the last minute... a real delight. The dough is well-made, soft and light, and the toppings are inspired by Roman and Italian tradition. Everything is prepared just in time, with quality above all else. The raw ingredients are fresh and carefully selected. With a few tables inside and out, the place is warm and inviting, and also lends itself to excellent aperitifs based on charcuterie and pizza. Worth a visit.

Here you'll find the hallmarks of a trattoria that focuses on typical Roman dishes, with a very modern touch, both in the decor and in the dishes. The chef, Luciano Monosilio, prepares an excellent carbonara: it's undoubtedly the restaurant's star dish! Prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but you're right in the center, between the Pantheon and Campo de' Fiori. In the basement, you'll find the speakeasy-like Veleno cocktail bar, where you can accompany your meal with a delicious cocktail.

This is the perfect break in the neighbourhood, ideal after visiting the Capitol Museums. It is located just behind the museum in the direction of the Capitol Gardens. The great advantage of this cafeteria, which offers breakfast, sandwiches and ice cream, is its terrace, which offers you an absolutely breathtaking view of Rome and its rooftops. A restaurant offers more consistent dishes for a lunch with a view. You should also know that, even if a good coffee can never be refused, the terrace is accessible free of charge.

It is sometimes difficult to find a good place to eat ramen in Rome, but Hokusai Ramen is one! The menu offers classic ramen, the miso ones have been tested and approved! The gyozas are also tasty and allow you to wait for your dish. As for drinks, there is a nice selection from Japan (sake, craft beer, whisky...). The room of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. It is a good address to warm up with ramen when the temperatures become cooler.

Located between Largo Argentina and Piazza Navona, this Italian-style fast-food restaurant enjoys a prestigious position, which explains the sometimes long waiting lines. Pasta Eat offers a large choice of pasta and ravioli which may seem tempting, but the cacio e pepe pasta did not convince us. The address has nevertheless the merit to satisfy the stomachs in the heels, at small price. We regret however that the dishes are served in cardboard boxes with single use, even to eat on the spot.

For a good pizza, head to 50 Kalò! Neapolitan pizzerias are gaining more and more ground in Rome, and 50 Kalò is certainly one of the best. Led by Ciro Salvo, a Neapolitan pizzaiolo who already runs two establishments in Naples and London, this pizzeria opened in July 2022. It offers an interesting menu that mixes the great classics (from margherita pizza to supplì) with "gourmet" pizzas. The ingredients are of impeccable quality and the service is friendly. Nice address to discover.

Between tavola calda and restaurant, here is an address that deserves to be known. Literally "quel che c'è" means "what there is". Here, in fact, the menu changes with the seasons but always gives pride of place to Roman classics - the cacio e pepe pasta is delicious! You order directly at the counter, the chef cooks in front of you and calls you when your dish is ready. Simple and efficient. The room is small, so expect to wait a little before you sit down.

In Rome, this Asian cuisine restaurant has a street corner. We go to "Chez Sonia" to taste its gyozas, but above all to discover this place much frequented by the locals. The restaurant, whose walls are lined with photos of the owner accompanied by Italian celebrities, is quite large, but you often have to wait to get a table. Asian specialties are served, with a clearly identifiable Italian touch. The only downside is the matcha tiramisù, which doesn't convince us at all.

Located in the San Lorenzo district, this restaurant will delight burger lovers. You will find here sure values such as the "bacon cheddar", and sandwiches that are made with Italian products. Among them, the "padrino" and its burrata or the "TNT" with scamorza, a tasty smoked cheese. All the burgers are served with home-made chips. If you prefer fries, you will have to pay a small extra charge of one euro. The appetizers are also highly recommended, especially the pastellate greens (fried vegetables)!

An address where you can find the classic pasta dishes of the Roman tradition(spaghetti alla carbonara, rigatoni cacio e pepe, spaghetti all'amatriciana) and Italian(strozzapreti al pesto, pappardelle al ragù, rigatoni al tartufo...) at a very affordable price for a quick lunch. The fresh pasta is home-made and you can see the chefs in the kitchen. There are very few seats inside, so plan to take your order with you: the park of Villa Borghese is nearby, ideal for a picnic!
