Greco-Roman rotunda with a concert hall and evening shows, offering a romantic stroll for lovers.

Built for thePanama Pacific Exposition of 1915, this palace is a Greco-Roman rotunda designed by Bernard Maybeck, in red ochre with Corinthian colonnades. It is considered one of the symbols of the city of San Francisco. Lovers come here for a romantic stroll. Peaceful pond, columns and rotunda, the setting is set! You will certainly come across newlyweds having their picture taken there. The place is also used as a concert and show hall in the evening. Check the program on the website.

Après avoir traversé le Golden gate à pied, notre guide nous a emmené au palace of fine arts. Quels surprise! Cet edifice se reflète dans le lac, très reposant comme vue. A voir absolument.

Construit pour une exposition universelle, le Palace of Fine Arts vaut le coup d'oeil. Non loin du Golden Gate Bridge, il tranche avec ce qu'il y a autour en adoptant un style greco-romain qui en impose.
