BUS TOURS
Read moreCádiz, located on the Coast of Light, is one of the most beautiful cities in the region. It offers great architectural and monumental beauty. One of the great opportunities it offers visitors is to discover its best sites by tourist bus. The buses are double-decker with an open roof, offering magnificent panoramic views. There's just one line, the Red Line, which takes in the west, north and northeast of the city. The route practically skirts the ocean, allowing you to admire the city from the bus and stop at the most important or interesting stops. Tourist bus tickets are valid for 24 hours and allow you to hop on and off at will. Audioguides in 16 languages are available to create your own tour. In addition, a free leaflet is offered with discount coupons for attractions, museums and restaurants. Times are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., without interruption, and buses pass every 30 minutes at each stop. Tickets can be booked online or purchased directly from the City Expert kiosk in Plaza San Juan de Dios.

WALLS
Read moreSurrounding the entire city, they were intended to protect it from both land and sea attacks. They were partially destroyed at the beginning of the century. The famous Puertas de Tierra are still visible: these towers were built between 1639 and the mid-18th century. Vauban, who created the defensive system of Cádiz, reinforced it with several forts and bastions, some of which can still be seen (the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catalina, the latter of which can be visited). Even today, parks and gardens enhance the stroll along the seafront with the Parque del Genovés or the Alameda Apodaca.
