Before becoming a cinema, it had other uses. Founded in 1873, it was first a theatre built by Juan Talavera y de la Vega in a typical Second Empire decorative style. Between 1896 and 1878, various works were carried out to improve the stage, increase the number of seats in the amphitheatre and replace the gas lighting with electricity. In 1909, a new renovation made it the most elegant and modern theatre in Seville. In the 1950s it was converted into a cinema. Spanish and international programming.
