Swiss couple Serge and Christine Baudat have been running this renowned diving center in Las Galeras for many years. They offer introductory dives, training courses to pass your levels, or à la carte dives in the various spots of the Samana peninsula. The center is PADI-affiliated. You'll enjoy a warm French-speaking welcome and a family atmosphere: here, there are no more than five divers on an outing! The staff know how to adapt to all levels and offer invaluable advice. A highly recommended center.

The city's oldest agency, Joel & Ludi Excursions has been providing good, loyal service for 15 years, and is a must if you want to do something in town. The flagship product is a 60 km land/sea tour by buggy and quad, which includes a visit to a marble mine, a school, honey and coffee producers, Playa Rincon and Boca del Diablo. Also: fishing trips, catamaran or boat trips to visit the city's main beaches. Only agency that accepts payment by credit card.

Run by Stéphane, a Frenchman, the Las Galeras Sea and Sun excursion agency offers a whole range of activities mainly focused on the sea. Taking advantage of his good knowledge of the place, Stéphane proposes boat excursions in the surroundings of Playa Fronton, but also big game fishing trips, moving encounters with whales passing by. It is also possible to plan buggy trips. A serious agency that lives up to its name: the sea and the sun are always there.
