The road south passes through this small village, more developed than the others (you can see the irrigation canals built under Balaguer's presidency), nestling on the edge of a turquoise sea hemmed in by a jagged rocky coastline, in the south-west of the country. The views of the sea are exceptional. The sea is sometimes rough and rough. The few local roadside hotels offer basic comfort. You can hear the murmur of the waves at night and the noise of the cars at dawn. The sumptuous lagoon of Oviedo, in the Parque Nacional Jaragua, is just a 30-minute drive south.
