For long distances, don't forget to negotiate the price in advance. Generally speaking, make sure that the car has a taximeter. As an indication, you should count from 40 to €60 for a trip from Fort-de-France to Saint-Pierre, in the north of the island, or from 60 to €80 for a trip between Fort-de-France and Sainte-Anne, in the south.

Since 2020, the Single Transport Authority, Martinique Transport, has been implementing a new organization in the Central region of the island. Formerly Mozaïk, the Centre network serves the four communes of the Communauté d'agglomération du Centre de la Martinique: Fort-de-France, Schoelcher, le Lamentin and Saint-Joseph. The terminus is located along the harbor at Pointe Simon. Stops in town are marked by small glass shelters.
