The most important mine in Europe, offering a guided tour through underground galleries and mine workings.
No coal in this mine, but iron and copper pyrites, which were the source of the development of the chemical industry in Lyon. This mine was one of the most important in Europe, but it was forced to close in 1972. A symbol of an activity that shaped the country, the museum, located on the former mining site and created on the initiative of former miners, plunges you into the bowels of the Earth during a guided tour of the underground galleries, the mining site and the engine room.

Superbe découverte que ce musée ! Accueil absolument sympathique de Michel. La visite guidée est très intéressante: on descend dans ancienne galerie de mine reconstituée. A ne pas manquer.
