THE GREVILLY CHAPEL
The oldest chapel of the three and the oldest religious vestige of the Tararois region, located in Tarare.
Leaving Tarare, head towards Saint-Forgeux, with the chapel on your left. It's the oldest of the three chapels - and the oldest religious vestige in the Tararois region - built between the 14th and 16th centuries, and a place of pilgrimage and devotion to the Virgin mentioned as early as the 14th century. Its surroundings alone are worth the trip: high up, bordered by meadows and forests, with a succession of hills and valleys. Open to visitors every day (9am to 5pm), the chapel has preserved its Romanesque choir adorned with medieval paintings.
