The Vallon du Rossand is one of the most beautiful valleys of the Monts du Lyonnais

One of the most beautiful valleys of the Monts du Lyonnais. Part of the Rossand basin, a small trout river which feeds the Brévenne, has been classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest, due to the wild character of the site which must be preserved. From the great horned owl to the shrew, there are 48 species of animals in this privileged place. From the highest points (Pilon, Crêt des Fayes, Chervolin) the view is exceptional over the Monts du Forez, the Monts de Tarare, the Mont Pilat and even the Alps in good weather.
