AU COUDE A COUDE
Read moreIt is difficult to know now whether wine merchants are classified among wine merchants or restaurateurs. For this new, very nice address of the 6 th arrondissement, this is even more complicated, since it offers local products! As well as drinking well and eating well together. Behind the counter, Guy and Odette Ecomusée give us the best welcome to taste the pleasures of the table in a warm decor where the old stones blend with contemporary and comfortable furniture. In this part, we will focus on the cellar with not only good champagnes that await us at the expense, but wines from the Rhône valley selected by a passionate man. An address to find in our restaurant restaurant with tasty plates of local produce, such as those of foie gras and terrine, this abomasa ardéchoise or this fake net and its pick of aubergines. In short, an address full of happiness.
LA VIEILLE RÉSERVE
Read moreJust as old vines make good wine, La Vieille Réserve has been selling good wine for almost a century. Fabrice Morel represents the 4th generation of an independent wine merchant, established in Lyon since 1929, at the head of 3 addresses in the metropolis. This institution may not be the most rock'n'roll, but it offers real expertise in fine wines and spirits. Cognac lovers will find Grande Champagne, Fine Champagne and Petite Champagne. Tastings are often organized. Other addresses include Les Terreaux on the Presqu'île and Halles Monts d'Or in Saint-Didier-au-Mont-d'Or.
LES DOMAINES QUI MONTENT
Read moreAn address that goes up and could have been placed in various categories, starting with that of the restaurants. Indeed, the first thing that has attracted us to Les Domaines qui Montent is the guest table open from Monday to Friday (Saturday on reservation) on the terrace where a slate announces us a formula with a honest cuisine: hot sausage Bobosse potatoes in water and salad or quiche with vegetables from the south. A nice simplicity that you can find when you are asked to open a good bottle of the cellar to eat at the table. As for the cellar, a wide selection where the unmissable wines of French regions are found in all colours, from the small names to the classified grands crus, passing through the unmissable rosé of summer. A delicatessen corner presents us local products, including the Bobosse house. We appreciate, every evening from 6pm, the aperitifs to be shared with friends (the aperitif is the most important meal of the day, isn't it?). An address that also likes rugby (and that's good) and continues to grow well in the neighborhood and elsewhere.
VAVRO AND CO (LA CAVE)
Read moreA special place for a name that everyone knows in Lyon. A shop signed Vavro is always different, but when it comes to the shop of the son of the famous Lyon designer, it cannot disappoint us. Bare lamps that hang from the ceiling, lockers impeccably lined up like a library, perfect legibility, by region and local, for bottles carefully selected depending on meetings and favourites. A modern place that respects the tradition of the wines produced with passion. Each month, you can follow tasting days with winemakers and oenology courses.
CHAI SAINT OLIVE
Read moreWhat's this winery hiding in this beautiful building in the chic 6th arrondissement? Created in 2020 by wine enthusiasts Franck and Grégoire, Chai Saint Olive is the first urban wine cellar to open in Lyon. It's an exceptional place to discover the world of wine (tastings, workshops...) thanks to Marie, the cellar mistress. Local production - labelled "Fabriqué à Lyon" - made from local grape varieties - chardonnay, viognier, gamay and syrah - selected from estates less than 80 km away. Urban wines matured in stainless steel vats or barrels, and bottled on site. Organize private or corporate events while enjoying a fine glass of wine.
