If Gâteau Ecole has navigated a lot, traveling from Vieux Lyon where it was first moored to the Plateau de la Croix-Rousse–not far from the head office–, it is now firmly rooted in the landscape of Lyon gourmands which remain enthralled by the beauty of the cakes of Sébastien Bouillet. Let us clarify that it is certainly not Sebastian in person who will show you how to make your macaroons successful, but his team can perfectly transmit the values of the house. Good atmosphere around the chef with a workshop which is held from 2.30pm to 5.30pm (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday), ending with a wonderful tasting. Among the offered themes: macaroons of course, but also wedding cakes, desserts of yesteryear, choux pastry, cup cakes or chocolate, another specialty of the Bouillet house.
