There are still few of them in Lyon and this one was certainly the precursor (if we do not include the bar in my neighbourhood where cats are omnipresent, but it's not on purpose…). On the top of Croix-Rousse, cats stood at Chamouraï, a tea salon inspired by the Japanese cat bars where one likes to buzz in French (even though our favourite cat remains the Maine Coon…). What you need to know is that you are in the field of cats, a territory which must be respected for its hygiene (for example you must not feed them) and its behaviour (that's why less than 15 years old people cannot enter at Chamouraï). According to hours, cats have a nap (very often, but it's normal) or jump from one chair to another delighting maxi customers. Coffees, teas, pastries and even brunch at weekend in a quiet place where you quickly feel relaxed by the soothing presence of the house's cats.
