A museum that sheds light on the history of Grenoble and the surrounding region. Located on an archaeological site where a remarkable crypt and baptistery were discovered beneath the Place Notre-Dame, the museum takes visitors back to the 4th century and the early days of Christianity. Permanent exhibition on the history of Isère. During the school vacations, the museum organizes workshops for young visitors and families, to introduce them to the skills and techniques of the past: illumination, stained glass, pottery... Numerous guided and/or commented tours.
