The "bubbles" of Grenoble, the most famous cable car in France, take you to many activities at the Bastille fort.
With over 345,000 passengers, the aerial tramway has been ascending to the Bastille since 1934 - 90 years this year - covering a 260 m vertical drop in 6 minutes. The "bubbles", emblems of the city since 1976, provide access to fantastic panoramas and numerous activities and events, especially in summer. Take a deep breath and hop in the cable car! Hanging in the air for a couple of minutes, you’ll be flying over Grenoble’s old rooftops before you discover the city at large facing changing mountain ranges.
Views from the top
Whether it is day or night, landscapes are breathtaking up there. Views from the terraces show horizons with no limits other than Chartreuse, Vercors, Belledonne, Oisans up to Mont Blanc tops. Take a trip to La Bastille to relax and get fresh air, you will come back for more discoveries, when sight gets lost way beyond mountain tops.

down there, the geography and evolution of Grenoble are unveiled at your feet; up here the stones of the ramparts are witnesses to past centuries. Feel free to explore: lifts and bridges will guide you through your discovery of the seven levels of the fortress. Available in English, illustrated viewing tables on the terraces and historical plaques on the walls will provide you with all details!

Bien déçue, ça fait deux fois que je vais à Grenoble afin de prendre le téléphérique avec mes enfants et deux fois fermé. C'est du "pas de chance" car trop de vent, donc c'est pour notre sécurité et merci à eux de prendre des bonnes décisions ????. Mais déçue quand même ☺️.

A very nice place to visit and see a breathtaking view. You can see mountains & the town/city while you're in the cable car or when you reach the peak. Would not recommend for those who are afraid of heights to ride the cable car. For cable car, you will have to pay & the price differs from children to seniority (if i am not mistaken). If you prefer, you can also jog instead of taking the cable car but it would be a bit tiring.
