EMMAUS GRENOBLE
Emmaüs is nothing new. And it's worth remembering the action taken during the terrible winter of 1954 to help the most destitute. It's an action that continues today with the famous Compagnons, who clear out entire houses, not just attics, and salvage objects for resale. The originality of this downtown store, a second-hand boutique set up on rue Saint-Jacques, makes it easy for everyone to take part in this surge of solidarity, but also to grab a bargain at low prices (20% discount for 16/26 year-olds). Store in the Carrefour Échirolles shopping mall. Strong social solidarity.
