Friendly word games to announce both a tea room and an art gallery to us, all of a beautiful originality. Our first stop was one lunch to enjoy a fast, but tasty, lunch menu at €10 consisting of a smoothie, a savoury pie, a dessert and a coffee. More than a tea room, you enter a world. That of Corine which takes us into a world where objects, paintings and photos occupy an area well furnished. We, we fell for "tender" of the place, inspiring a certain contemporary romance and a real delicacy of living. Recommended by futé.

Café Myrö is a good idea! A "cantine" with a cheerfully colorful façade, a gourmet coffee-shop in the heart of pedestrian streets. A charming little terrace that extends into a cosy pocket-sized room. A warm welcome from Magda, an authentic barista with a passion for specialty coffees, who has created a healthy, home-style cuisine based mainly on local, seasonal fruit and vegetables. From a delicious breakfast of pancakes and banana bread, to a lunch of buddha bowls and amazing wraps, not forgetting the homemade brunch, certainly one of the best in town. And, of course, a coffee to go with a homemade pastry. Already a must.

Opening its terrace onto Place aux Herbes, La Renaissance is one of the city's oldest cafés (1917). More than a century old, the café is run by a friendly, dynamic team who welcome you with a smile all day long. The shaded terrace alone is well worth a break, but you must enter the café if only to admire the original ceiling, now restored to its former glory. Outside or on the benches inside, you can take your time savouring life in Grenoble. And to complete the range of beverages on offer, the Renaissance offers a traditional à la carte menu to share moments of dolce vita over a glass of Italian wine.

There's always an air of hesitancy when it comes to inviting someone else to meet up at La LevRette. What we love about this cafe with its erotic-potty name is, first and foremost, its location in the former guardhouse of the Caserne de Bonne. It's a unique place, with a lovely terrace overlooking the esplanade, where you can enjoy shared moments of conviviality and home-brewed beers. Gourmet boards and homemade tapas to prolong the pleasure. Ideal for after-work and evening events - blind tests, karaoke, feria, product tastings...: fun spirit and surprises guaranteed - LevRette Café is a friendly destination to discover.

Quintessence is well established in the Rue de Strasbourg gourmet scene. A late-night lounge bar with a wine list of local and international wines offering excellent value for money, as well as gourmet dishes that could inspire many a restaurant... With its cosy yet convivial atmosphere, comfortable armchairs, summer terrace, professional advice with a smile, affordable wines to match the dishes, a refreshing house Quintespritz and a range of spirits, rums and whiskies, La Quintessence is the place to be from afterwork to the end of the evening. As Magritte pointed out, this is not a beer (and neither is a bear...). But at Not a Beer, you can drink as much as you like! A fine address in the lively heart of Grenoble, it's both a late-hours boutique and a beer bar for zythologists and amateurs in search of fine discoveries. A hundred or so beers in the cellar, a dozen on draught, are regularly rotated to give us a taste of flavors from near and far. Beers kept in cute little fridges or in a growler, a device that lets you fill your bottle with a draught beer to take home. Not a beer, warmth, flavors and trendiness, even on Sunday nights.

Rain or shine, Kai-iwi is one of our favorite Grenoble destinations. A strange bird from New Zealand for a local bar with flavors from elsewhere. An open-minded attitude that takes us to a beautiful country in the company of Élise and Marshall. A pleasant terrace, a cosy space, a small lounge where the kitchen opens onto the dining room. Can you already smell the famous carrot cake? Coffee is accompanied by homemade treats, even for vegans and gluten-free eaters. Quality brunches and tasty snacks, fruit ice creams (vegan and gluten-free), market fruit crepes and veggie bowls. Small grocery corner.

Life putting you under pressure? Come and decompress with a good draught! Au Fût et à mesure is a brewery where everything is connected. Here, you serve yourself by passing your card in front of one of the pumps set up at your table. The beers change regularly, and everyone helps themselves to what they want, whether or not they're sharing with friends. Because the other pleasure of going to Le Fût is making friends in a convivial atmosphere. Yes, the concept of going from table to table encourages people to meet. Planks of charcuterie and cheese prolong the pleasure of being in the Fût. Good music, game broadcasts, lively evenings. Good bubbles.

An Impertinence that brings us together on a pedestrian street in the hypercentre. A bold eco-place driven by Marie's passionate commitment to the environment. A café-canteen that's become a must for all-day breaks (because it's closed in the evenings) and Sunday lunch for a change. It's an ideal place to work - with payment by the hour - to eat a healthy, balanced version of home-cooked dishes made with local, seasonal produce, to brunch on Sundays with an all-you-can-eat menu that's among the best in town, or simply to enjoy a drink in a cheerful, eco-responsible business. L'Impertinence feels good.

The brainchild of Emma and Vanessa, Grenoble's first chocolate fondue bar, Le 17.10 is an absolutely delicious place. Le 17.10 offers the pleasure of sharing a moment of conviviality around chocolate fondues all day long, as well as the pleasure of savouring filled savoury waffles at lunchtime. When it comes to chocolate, choose one of the 8 Valrhôna chocolates to suit your taste and melt it over a homemade delicacy: crêpe, pancake, waffle, fruit plate... Irresistibly delicious!

An original concept, a bar-disquaire, a cultural venue where you can savour good local produce while listening to good music over a wide range of opening hours. A convivial place where you can come in search of a vinyl, meet new people, share a drink at the bar - with its fine selection of craft beers, whiskies, gins, rums and arranged rums - and attend a concert, jam session or other event on weekends. If there are two essential things, it's to have a bike that rolls and to settle down in a place with a high level of coolness to have a coffee, a preferably local beer, or even a Chartreuse (because they're just plants...). In the Saint-Bruno district, a place with several trays, like our bike, for a good ravito. Part bar-café, part organic and local canteen, but also - and this is more original - part bike maintenance and repair workshop, Vélo Café spares no effort to please us with events. Combo if you bring your bike in for a service while enjoying the terrace. A great place to share.

Pleasure without secrecy. A nod to the underground bars of the 1930s Prohibition era in the USA, the Blind Pig welcomes you with open arms. It's impossible to miss the bar's terrace, whose cozy room evokes that bygone era of the Roaring Twenties: fringed sofas and armchairs, gilded frames, "exotic" walls. It's warm and friendly, and especially good to drink a house cocktail, chosen from original creations made from top-quality spirits, such as Distillerie du Vercors, Trois Rivières rum or Chartreuse, to be found in a delicious vulnéraire. From morning coffee to evening cocktails, this is an address not to be missed.

A good harvest in the Saint-Bruno district with this atypical bar dedicated to natural wines. At the helm is the inimitable Fred, who lends an inimitable cachet to these places from another era, and Mathias and Renaud, two musicians with a passion for... natural wines. Here, at the end of every day, we're as much about sharing as we are about tasting. At the counter or in a surprisingly decorated room, amidst a collection of incredible objects, discover natural wines, i.e. wines produced using environmentally-friendly viticulture methods, and sulfur-free wines. Wines that are easy to drink. Food to accompany and a good vinyl soundtrack to prolong the evening.

Playing the stock market is complicated and can be risky. Less complicated, and much less risky, is betting up or down on the price of drinks to have fun with friends at Wallstr'Eat. It's a lively market, with prices changing every 100 seconds, and sometimes real stock market crashes to follow on the screens. For those with a thirst for good deals, Wallstr'Eat also offers a lunch menu featuring a tasty, complete, seasonal and inexpensive dish of the day. Burgers, salads, meats, fish & chips and snacks in the evening. And in the evenings, you're welcome to share your troubles and/or good times at this cheerful local exchange.

In this Ptit Labo-là, chemistry becomes alchemy to transform organic raw materials into beers, each more tasty than the next. In a Saint-Bruno district in full effervescence, a place - created as a Scop - dedicated to beer. The decor mixes styles - from vintage to indus - in a very personal and finally very warm way, just like the welcome. Homemade beers made from good products by authentic passionate associates.
