Homemade cuisine and pizzas over a wood fire in Grenoble.
Crossing the Isère to eat Italian pizza in Grenoble is a tradition worth keeping. Head for La Florentine, open only in the evening and for lunch on Saturdays. Italian for over 30 years, M. Martines offers homemade cuisine and wood-fired pizzas (so much better for us). The picturesque decor makes for a delightful gourmet journey, and the delightful setting features exposed stonework in subdued lighting, a wrought-iron grill to access the wine cellar, and a cosy, friendly atmosphere. Last but not least, we love it because all you have to do is taste a pizza, pasta dish, risotto, carpaccio or baked lasagne, and you're in Italy.
