A museum dedicated to the history and daily life of Aosta and the surrounding area in Gallo-Roman times.

Take a step back in time to discover ancient Aosta, Vicus Augustus, over 2,000 years ago. This Gallo-Roman museum offers a continuous tour based on 3 themes: craftsmanship, religion and rites, and daily life. A fine collection of objects and archaeological evidence from the first centuries AD: ceramics such as mortars, produced locally, as well as numerous amphorae and glassware such as the famous ewer. Also worth discovering is a potter's kiln unearthed nearby. A must-see for the whole family.

Open all year round. Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm to 5pm. 3pm/7pm in July and August. Free for children under 12. Adults: €5. Children: €3.80.

Visiter ce jour pour la journée du patrimoine, toujours intéressent de voir notre histoire..
Joli musée a faire en famille.

A voir si vous passez par Aoste. Le musée n'est pas très grand : prévoir environ 1h pour la visite en prenant son temps. Les horaires d'ouvertures sont assez restreints : du lundi au vendredi de 15h à 19h. 5€ plein tarif : autant en profiter. Accueil agréable et possibilité de voir un four Gallo-romain à 5 min du musée.
