Rooted in the ancient bed of the Rhône, Clos Saint-Michel's gnarled vines protrude from a sea of round, blond pebbles. The soul of the estate, its old Provencal bastide has not aged a day. The vineyard has been in existence for four generations. Winemakers Olivier and Franck Mousset produce wines that comply with the rules of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Clos Saint Michel) and Côtes-du-Rhône (Domaine Guy Mousset) appellations. The Caladoc, a newcomer to the domaine, is also a top-quality wine. A great address and great tastings.
